Integration for Atlassian Jira Cloud

SourceClear Software Composition Analysis

Setting up the SourceClear integration for Jira Cloud allows your organization to create Jira issues from within SourceClear.

Before you begin

To set up this integration, you must be an administrator of both your SourceClear organization and the Jira instance.

This integration works with both the cloud and the on-premise version of Jira. For the on-premise version, the Jira server must be accessible from outside the internet.


  1. From the SourceClear integration settings page, under Actions, select Create Jira Cloud Integration.
  2. Enter a name for your integration and click Next.
  3. Click on the application link to go to your Jira instance.
  4. Inside JIRA application link setting, for URL, enter
  5. Click Create New Link.
  6. If you see a warning saying no response was received from the URL you entered, click Continue.
  7. In the Application Name field, enter SourceClear.
  8. From the Application Type dropdown menu, select Generic Application.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Click the pencil icon to the right of the newly created SourceClear application.
  11. Select Incoming authentication and copy the values you see on step 3 into this screen.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Copy the following values:
    • Consumer Key
    • Consumer Name
    • Public Key
    • Callback URL
  14. Click Save.
  15. In SourceClear, click Next.


When you see the Step 3 window, click on the link and select Allow to authorize the OAuth application. You now have the ability to create your first ticket template.
