Setting the Policy for an Application

Application Security Policies

The Veracode Platform automatically assigns a policy to an application, based on the organization's default policy rules, when the business criticality is set for the application. An individual with the Policy Administrator role can override the default policy on an application via the Application Profile.

You can also change the policy for multiple applications at once.

To set a policy for a single application:

  1. Click on the application name in the Applications page to open the Application Overview.
  2. Click Profile in the left navigation menu.
  3. In the Policy field, select from the dropdown menu the policy you want to set for the application. You can get details about the assigned policy by clicking the information icon next to this field.
Note: Changing the policy for an application applies to all future scans and adjusts the policy assessment of the most recent scan of this application.
