Dynamic Analysis Statuses

Dynamic Analysis

After you have submitted your Dynamic Analysis, you can return to the list of Dynamic Analysis scans at any time to check for status updates. If you have numerous Dynamic Analysis scans, you can search for the one you want to view by entering a search string and clicking Find.


Click the Real-time Scan Information link in the URL Scan Details section to view the real-time status and preliminary details of the scan.




The following table lists all the possible statuses for a Dynamic Analysis.

Status Description
Completed - Verifying Results The Dynamic Analysis has successfully completed and Veracode is verifying the results.
Completed - Partial Results Available The Dynamic Analysis has completed. Only partial results are available as one or more URLs failed verification.
Completed - Results Available The Dynamic Analysis has successfully completed and you can now view your results.
In Progress The Dynamic Analysis has started and is running.
In Progress + showing a warning icon The Dynamic Analysis has started and is running. However, one or more target URLs have failed verification.
Not Submitted There has been a technical issue. Try submitting your Dynamic Analysis again.
Prescanning Veracode is prescanning the URLs in the Dynamic Analysis to verify the connection and authentication configurations.
Queued The Dynamic Analysis is submitted and awaiting scan capacity availability.
Scheduled The scan of the URL configuration is scheduled.
Stopped - Deleting Results A user has stopped the Dynamic Analysis and opted to delete the results.
Stopped - Saving Results A user has stopped the Dynamic Analysis and opted to save the results.
Stopped - Scan Duration Ended The scan duration timeframe has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Increase the scan duration setting if you need more time for your scan to complete.
Stopped - Scan Duration Ended With Partial Results The scan duration timeframe has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available within 24 hours.
Stopped - Technical Issue There has been an issue and the Dynamic Analysis has stopped. Contact Veracode Technical Support if this issue persists.
Stopped - Verifying Results The Dynamic Analysis has completed as much of the scan as possible and results are available for you to view.
Submitted You have successfully submitted your Dynamic Analysis.
Verification Failed Veracode was not able to connect to one or more URLs during prescan. Check your URL configuration and try again.
You can filter on the specific status of the Dynamic Analysis scans if you want to only see a list of the ones that are in a particular state. In the Filter by Status dropdown menu, select the status on which you want to filter.


URL Scan Status

You can view the status of a specific URL scan in a Dynamic Analysis on the URL Configuration Scan Summary page.


The URL scan status provides additional information about the individual scan associated with the URL, which may differ from the status of the overall analysis. The URL scan status also displays in the list of URLs in the Dynamic Analysis Summary page.

URL Scan Status Description
Submit Failed Veracode encountered a technical issue that prevented it from scanning the URL.
Scheduled The URL is scheduled to scan.
Submitted Veracode has received your scan request.
In Progress The scan has started.
Verification Failed Veracode cannot scan the URL. Review the URL configuration and try again.
Queued with warning The scan is in the queue due to lack of subscription capacity.
Queued The scan is in the queue and ready to start.
Stopping - Saving Results A user has stopped the scan and chosen to save the results.
Stopping - Deleting Results A user has stopped the scan and chosen to delete the results.
Stopped The scan has successfully stopped.
Site unreachable - Stopped The scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Verify the site you are scanning is up and has stable network connectivity.
Site unreachable - Verifying Results The scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Verify the site you are scanning is up and has stable network connectivity. Veracode is verifying the results, which are available within one business day.
Site unreachable - Results Available The scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Results are available but may have lower than expected coverage due to the early termination of the scan.
Time Expired - Stopped The scan duration timeframe has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Increase the scan duration setting if you need more time for your scan to complete.
Technical Issue - Stopped Veracode encountered a technical issue that prevented the scan from continuing.
Time Expired - Verifying Results The scan duration timeframe has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Veracode is verifying the results, which are available within one business day.
Time Expired - Results Available The scan duration timeframe has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Results are available but may have lower than expected coverage due to the early termination of the scan. Try scheduling a scan with a longer duration to improve coverage.
Stopped - Verifying Results Either a user stopped this scan or the scan stopped unexpectedly. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available within one business day.
Completed - Verifying Results The scan successfully completed. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available within one business day.
Completed - Results Available The scan successfully completed. Results are available.
Pausing The scan is scheduled to automatically pause.
Resuming The scan is scheduled to automatically resume.
Crawl Script Error Veracode could not scan the URL due to errors in the crawl script. Review your crawl script and try again.
Authentication Error Veracode could not scan the URL due to authentication errors. Review the credentials to ensure they are accurate, and check the Selenium login and logout scripts.
Connection Error Veracode could not connect to the target URL. Check that the site is internet-accessible. If it is not, you may need to configure Veracode Internal Scanning Management (ISM).

You can view all actions and statuses in the activity log located at the bottom of the Dynamic Analysis Summary page.
